The CAN-Lite Carbon Filter is CAN-Filter’s premium range — the filter of choice for growers who demand the absolute best in odour control and air quality management. CAN-Lite uses a higher density of activated carbon than the standard CAN-Filter range, packed into a more compact and lighter-weight aluminium housing. The result is a filter that performs at the highest level while taking up less space and placing less mechanical load on your extraction fan.

What Sets CAN-Lite Apart

The CAN-Lite’s activated carbon is packed at higher density than typical carbon filters. This means more carbon per unit volume — more adsorption capacity per filter — and a longer effective lifespan before carbon bed saturation. For growers running continuous multi-cycle operations where filter replacement is disruptive, this extended lifespan is a meaningful practical benefit. The aluminium housing is lighter than steel alternatives and does not rust — important in the high-humidity environments typical of sealed grow rooms. CAN-Lite filters use the same RC412 activated carbon that built CAN-Filter’s reputation — a virgin coal-based carbon with over 1,000 square metres of surface area per gram. Sizing, Compatibility, and Installation

CAN-Lite filters are available in all standard flange sizes from 100mm to 315mm, covering airflow requirements from small hobby tents to large commercial grow rooms. For optimal performance, match the filter’s rated airflow to your extraction fan’s CFM or m³/h rating. Running a filter at or slightly below its rated capacity maximises both filtration efficiency and filter lifespan. The filter flanges connect directly to standard circular ducting. A pre-filter sleeve is included to capture dust and debris before it reaches the main carbon bed, extending overall filter life significantly. Mount the CAN-Lite inside your grow room or tent, connected to the inlet of your extraction fan. Pull air through the filter and out through your fan — this configuration produces the best results and reduces fan wear.
