Description

Insecto Midi Smoke Bomb is a ready-to-use insecticidal smoke generator that we have been supplying to UK growers since 2017 for rapid knock-down of flying and crawling insects in enclosed grow rooms, greenhouses and storage areas. Smoke fumigation reaches into every corner, crack, crevice and canopy depth that contact sprays cannot reliably penetrate — making it an effective emergency intervention tool when an infestation has become widespread and surface-applied treatments are insufficient to achieve full coverage. The Midi size is appropriate for enclosed spaces up to approximately 120 cubic metres.

How Insecticidal Smoke Fumigation Works

When ignited, the Insecto Midi Smoke Bomb generates a dense cloud of insecticidal smoke that disperses through the entire enclosed volume of the treated space within minutes. The active insecticide is carried on smoke particles that settle on all surfaces — including the undersides of leaves, inside dense canopy zones and into cracks and crevices where pests hide and lay eggs. This total-coverage approach kills insects that contact sprays miss. Smoke fumigation is particularly effective against fungus gnats (adults in flight and on substrate surfaces), whitefly and flying aphids. Note that smoke fumigation treats the adult stage most effectively — a follow-up application 10–14 days later targets any eggs that have hatched since the initial treatment.

Safe Use and Application Instructions

Before use, remove all people, pets and fish tanks from the space and seal all ventilation openings. Place the smoke bomb on a heat-resistant surface in the centre of the grow room. Light the fuse, exit immediately and seal the door. Leave sealed for a minimum of 3–4 hours or overnight for maximum effect. Ventilate thoroughly before re-entering. Do not use on plants in flower if end product quality is a concern — use vegetative-stage fumigation as a preventive approach. Always read the full product label before use.
