INSULATED DUCTING 100MM (4″)

Description

Insulated Ducting 100mm (4″) is the insulated duct format for compact grow room ventilation systems built around 100mm inline fans — the standard extraction size for 60cm x 60cm and 80cm x 80cm growing tents and small dedicated grow rooms. The insulation layer eliminates condensation on cold duct runs and reduces temperature exchange between the duct interior and the surrounding space, both of which are common performance-limiting issues in small grow room setups where ducting runs frequently pass through unheated lofts, exterior walls, or cool utility rooms.

Condensation on uninsulated 4-inch duct is a particularly common problem in small tents and closet grows. The high relative humidity of extraction air from a sealed grow environment means that when this air makes contact with a duct surface that has cooled below the dew point, moisture deposits immediately. Over time this leads to moisture damage at duct joints, dripping that can damage equipment below, and mould growth within the ducting system. Insulated ducting eliminates this by maintaining the duct surface temperature above the dew point throughout the run.

Compatible with all standard 100mm fan outlet flanges, filter collars, and connectors. Secure with 100mm fast clamps and seal with aluminium ducting tape for a fully airtight system.
