INSULATED DUCTING 100MM (4″)

Description

Insulated Ducting 100mm (4″) is a compact, acoustically insulated flexible duct for small-scale extraction systems using 100mm inline fans in compact grow tents, propagation spaces, and enclosed growing areas. We have been supplying ducting components to UK growers since 2017, and the 100mm insulated ducting suits growers who want reduced noise transmission from small extraction systems without the bulk of larger-diameter insulated duct.

Compact Insulated Extraction for Small Grow Spaces

The 100mm (4-inch) diameter is the smallest standard size for grow room inline fans — used with compact fans producing 100–200 m³/hr airflow for micro-tents, propagation areas, and any small enclosed growing space where a 125mm fan would be more capacity than needed. At this compact size, the insulated version still provides meaningful noise reduction compared to bare aluminium flexible ducting, which is particularly valuable in tight residential growing environments where any reduction in audible fan noise improves discretion and quality of life.

The insulation layer maintains the full 100mm internal diameter for unrestricted airflow while absorbing the structural noise transmitted through the duct wall. The outer jacket protects the insulation from moisture and physical damage during installation and use.

Installation Notes

Use with 100mm inline fans and carbon filters using Fast Clamp connectors and aluminium tape at all joints. Keep ducting runs short and bends minimal for maximum airflow in compact systems where the fan’s total pressure capacity is limited. Insulated ducting is slightly less flexible than bare aluminium duct — allow adequate bend radius at direction changes to avoid internal kinking.
