Description
Metal Spigot Wall Ducting Plate is a rigid mounting plate used to create a clean, finished opening in a wall or panel for routing extraction ducting through building structures in permanent grow room installations. We have been supplying grow room construction accessories to UK cultivators since 2017 as part of a comprehensive range of ventilation infrastructure components for serious indoor growing environments.
Professional Ducting Wall Penetrations
Routing ducting through walls in a permanent grow room installation requires a neat, secure penetration point that seals around the duct, supports its weight at the wall crossing, and provides a professional finish that is both functional and leak-free. Simply cutting a hole and pushing ducting through without a proper spigot plate results in an unsupported penetration that allows air to bypass around the duct at the wall crossing, potentially carrying odour-laden air through the structural gap rather than through the carbon filter and duct to the exterior.
The metal spigot wall plate provides a flanged, circular penetration fitting that seats into the wall aperture and provides a finished surface on both sides. The central spigot accepts standard flexible or rigid ducting of the matching diameter, creating a supported, airtight duct entry point that prevents air bypass and provides mechanical support for the ducting at the critical wall crossing point where sagging or movement could create stress on the duct connections.
Installation and Sizing
Cut an aperture of the appropriate size in your wall panel using a hole saw or jigsaw. Insert the spigot plate from one side, securing with the included fixings and sealing the perimeter with silicone or expanding foam for an airtight fit. Connect ducting to the spigot using Fast Clamps and seal with aluminium tape.
Available in standard duct diameters to match RVK fans and carbon filter connections. A professional finishing component for permanent grow room infrastructure that makes a significant aesthetic and functional difference to the final installation.
