Plant!T Watering Ring is a drip irrigation delivery accessory that we have been supplying to UK growers since 2017 for ensuring even, uniform nutrient solution distribution around the base of potted plants in drip-feed systems. Unlike single-point drippers that concentrate flow at one spot in the container, the watering ring distributes solution evenly around a 360° perimeter ring positioned near the container wall — preventing channelling, dry spots in the growing medium and the uneven root development that results from one-sided moisture delivery.

Why Uniform Water Distribution Matters in Pot-Based Systems

In any drip-fed pot system, the distribution pattern of the nutrient solution directly determines how evenly the growing medium is saturated and, consequently, how uniformly the root system develops. A single central dripper creates a wet column through the centre of the medium with drier zones at the container periphery — roots in the wet zone become crowded and potentially anaerobic while the outer medium remains dry and under-utilised. The Plant!T watering ring positions multiple micro-emitter points around the full circumference of the container, distributing solution evenly from the outside inward. This promotes an even, radially symmetric root system that exploits the full volume of growing medium, improves nutrient uptake efficiency and reduces the localised EC build-up that occurs when irrigation is concentrated in a small zone.

Sizing, Installation and Compatible Systems

Plant!T watering rings are available in sizes to suit standard pot diameters — match the ring size to your container size for correct coverage. The ring connects to standard 4mm micro-irrigation tubing from your main drip line or manifold. Position the ring flat on the surface of the growing medium and press lightly to ensure the emitter points face downward into the substrate. Combine with a submersible pump, digital timer and 25mm distribution manifold for a complete automated drip system. Compatible with all growing media including coco, clay pebbles, soil and perlite blends.
