Fill with clean, low-EC water — ideally reverse osmosis or filtered water — to prevent mineral scaling of the ultrasonic disc and extend the unit’s service life. Connect to an environmental controller or hygrostat to maintain your target RH automatically. Clean the water reservoir and disc regularly — weekly for continuous use — to prevent algal growth and mineral buildup. In grow rooms with high air exchange rates, you may need to run the humidifier for extended periods to compensate for the dehumidifying effect of extraction.
