Description

Silver Bullet Roots is a professional reservoir treatment and root zone sanitiser using stabilised hydrogen peroxide and silver ion technology to eliminate waterborne pathogens, prevent biofilm development in irrigation systems, and protect plant root health throughout the growing cycle. Protecting Root Health in Hydroponic Systems

Root diseases — particularly Pythium root rot — are the most destructive and difficult-to-reverse problems in hydroponic growing. Pythium thrives in warm, poorly oxygenated nutrient solution and spreads rapidly through recirculating systems, turning healthy white roots brown and slimy and causing dramatic wilting and growth collapse even when above-ground symptoms appear within days. Silver Bullet Roots provides protection by maintaining low pathogen levels in the reservoir throughout the growing cycle, preventing the pathogen population from reaching the threshold at which active disease develops.

The dual silver ion and stabilised hydrogen peroxide combination provides both immediate oxidising action against pathogens in the reservoir and a persistent residual effect from the silver ions that continues to suppress pathogen regrowth between water changes. This sustained protection is what distinguishes Silver Bullet Roots from single-mechanism treatments that provide only brief, acute control.

Application and Dosing

Add Silver Bullet Roots to your reservoir at the preventative dose (typically 1ml per 10 litres) at every reservoir refill or top-up. For active treatment of existing root disease, increase to the treatment dose and improve dissolved oxygen levels through additional aeration simultaneously. Silver Bullet Roots is compatible with most mineral nutrients but is not suitable for use alongside beneficial bacteria or mycorrhizal products — choose one approach for your root zone management strategy.
