Oxypot Deep Water Culture (DWC) systems represent one of the simplest and most productive forms of hydroponics available. In a DWC system, plants are suspended above a reservoir of oxygenated nutrient solution with their roots hanging directly into the water — constantly bathed in a perfectly balanced, highly oxygenated mineral feed. The result is some of the fastest vegetative growth and heaviest yields achievable in indoor growing, driven by the exceptional oxygen and nutrient availability in the root zone.
Why DWC Produces Outstanding Results
The fundamental advantage of DWC is root-zone oxygen. Dissolved oxygen is the limiting factor in root metabolism — when oxygen levels are high, roots can absorb nutrients at maximum efficiency. In DWC, an air pump drives air through airstones at the base of the reservoir, maintaining dissolved oxygen levels of 8–10 mg/L — significantly higher than what roots experience in even the best-managed soil or coco grows.
This oxygen-rich root environment, combined with the constant availability of precisely balanced nutrients, produces growth rates that typically outperform soil and coco by a significant margin in experienced hands. Plants in DWC systems often show noticeably larger leaf size, shorter internodal spacing and faster canopy development compared to equivalent substrate grows.
Oxypot Single and Multi-Site Systems
Oxypot systems are available as single-bucket units for individual plants and as multi-site systems that connect multiple modules to a single shared reservoir. Multi-site systems simplify reservoir management — you adjust EC and pH centrally and all plants benefit simultaneously. Single buckets provide more individual control over each plant’s environment, which is preferable when growing multiple different strains with varying nutritional requirements.
We have been supplying Oxypot DWC systems to UK growers since 2017. Browse the full Oxypot range below.
