Description

Guard N Aid for Thrips is a contact-action botanical insecticide specifically formulated to control thrips — one of the most damaging and persistent pests in indoor growing environments. It provides rapid knockdown of adult thrips and nymphs on contact while remaining suitable for use throughout the growing cycle when applied according to label directions.

Thrips are a serious threat in enclosed growing environments because their small size, rapid reproductive cycle, and ability to feed on both leaf surfaces and developing flowers make them difficult to detect early and fast to establish in significant populations. Adult thrips rasp through leaf cell walls to feed on the contents, leaving the characteristic silver-white scarring or stippling on upper leaf surfaces that is often the first visible sign of an infestation. Thrips feeding on developing flowers causes direct tissue damage and creates conditions for secondary fungal infections that compound the original pest damage.

Guard N Aid for Thrips works as both a treatment and a preventative spray. Used proactively at 7-10 day intervals as part of an integrated pest management programme, it prevents populations from establishing. As a treatment for an active infestation, three applications at 5-7 day intervals target the adult, nymph, and newly hatched generations in succession. Apply in the evening or during dark periods to minimise phytotoxicity risk, covering all leaf surfaces including undersides.
