Application Guidelines and pH Considerations

Liquid silicon is highly alkaline — always add it to your nutrient water first, before adding nutrients, to allow the pH to stabilise before fine-tuning with pH DOWN. Adding silicon after nutrients can cause precipitation of calcium and other minerals in your reservoir. Apply from early vegetative growth through to mid-flowering at the manufacturer’s recommended rate, typically 0.5–1ml per litre depending on your existing nutrient programme’s mineral content.
