GRODAN BOX 3″ CUBES (SMALL HOLE 25MM)

Description

The Grodan Box of 3-inch Rockwool Cubes with Small Hole 25mm provides a commercial quantity of Grodan’s precision-manufactured stonewool propagation cubes, supplied in a full box format for growers running high-volume propagation programmes or commercial nursery operations. Each cube is an individual 75x75x65mm stonewool block with a 25mm pre-drilled hole, designed to receive rooted cuttings or established seedlings and provide the ideal transition substrate from propagation to the main growing system.

Grodan stonewool is manufactured by melting basalt rock and chalk at extreme temperatures and spinning the molten material into fine mineral fibres, creating a substrate with high water retention, excellent air porosity, and a rigid structure that roots can penetrate easily while being supported upright. The small 25mm hole is calibrated for rooted cuttings and seedlings transplanted from propagation cubes or Jiffy pellets.

The 3-inch cube is the industry-standard intermediate size between the small propagation cube and the large slab system, compatible with all standard rockwool-based dripper systems and flood-and-drain trays. Before use, soak cubes for 24 hours in pH-adjusted nutrient solution (pH 5.5-6.0, EC 1.2-1.6) to saturate the fibres.
