INSULATED DUCTING 200MM (8″)

Description

Insulated Ducting 200mm (8″) is thermally and acoustically insulated flexible duct for medium-scale grow room extraction systems where noise control and thermal management of the ducting run are priorities. We have been supplying professional-grade extraction components to UK growers since 2017, and the 200mm insulated ducting is one of the most commonly specified products for grow rooms of 2m x 2m to 2.4m x 2.4m using fans in the 500–1000 m³/hr range.

The 200mm Standard for Mid-Sized Grow Rooms

The 200mm (8-inch) diameter is the sweet spot for mid-sized indoor growing operations — large enough to handle significant airflow volumes without excessive pressure loss, and available in insulated format for installations where noise and thermal performance matter. At this diameter, 200mm insulated ducting works with the RVK 200mm range and equivalent Isomax units to create a professional, low-noise extraction system capable of managing a grow room of up to approximately 15 cubic metres effectively.

The insulation layer provides meaningful noise reduction compared to bare aluminium ducting, particularly when the ducting run passes through adjacent living spaces or when the growing environment is in a noise-sensitive location. The thermal insulation prevents the duct surface from becoming uncomfortably hot during operation and reduces heat transfer to surrounding building elements.

Compatibility and Setup

Connect to 200mm fan flanges and carbon filter collars using Fast Clamps and aluminium foil tape for a secure, airtight joint. Keep bends to a minimum and use 90-degree metal bends rather than tight-kinking flexible sections where direction changes are required. Support the ducting at regular intervals to prevent sagging in horizontal runs.
