IRRIGATION STRAIGHT CONNECTOR

Description

The Irrigation Straight Connector is a 13mm barbed push-fit coupler for joining two lengths of 13mm polythene drip irrigation tubing end-to-end. Used when a run of tubing needs to be extended, when a damaged section needs to be spliced out and replaced, or when connecting the main supply line from the pump to the first fitting in the irrigation manifold.

Straight connectors are required wherever a continuous tube run needs to be interrupted or extended and no change of direction is needed. This comes up most often when building long feed lines across wide growing areas, connecting multiple coils or short offcuts of irrigation tube, or repairing a split or damaged section of mainline mid-cycle. At their price point they are worth buying in small quantities rather than relying on a single spare — irrigation repairs during a critical growth phase benefit from having the right fitting immediately to hand.

The barbed push-fit design uses the same no-tools, push-to-secure mechanism as the full range of 13mm fittings — the tube end pushes firmly onto the barb and creates a watertight seal under normal operating pressure. Both ends of the connector are identical, so there is no directional concern when fitting.
