Description
SHOGUN PK Warrior 9/18 is a precision-engineered phosphorus and potassium bloom booster that we have been recommending to UK hydroponic growers since 2017. The 9/18 ratio — 9% phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅) and 18% potassium oxide (K₂O) — delivers a front-loaded potassium emphasis that drives carbohydrate transport to developing flowers, building density, weight and terpene richness in the critical mid-to-late flowering window. SHOGUN’s formulation technology ensures both elements are presented in highly soluble, immediately bioavailable ionic forms for rapid plant uptake.
The Science Behind the 9/18 PK Ratio
During peak flowering, the plant’s demand for potassium significantly outpaces its demand for phosphorus. Potassium drives osmotic regulation, phloem loading and the translocation of sugars into swelling flower sites — a process directly linked to final bud density and harvest weight. The higher K proportion in PK Warrior 9/18 supports this preferential demand while phosphorus drives ATP energy production and cell division in developing floral tissue. Excess phosphorus can actually compete with and lock out micronutrients, so SHOGUN’s balanced but K-dominant ratio avoids the problems associated with higher-phosphorus PK boosters. We consistently observe that growers see improved flower hardness and fragrance when PK Warrior is used at the correct dosage and timing.
Dosage, Timing and Feed Programme Integration
Use SHOGUN PK Warrior 9/18 at 1–2 ml per litre from weeks 4–7 of flowering. Introduce at the lower rate initially and build gradually while monitoring EC. It is compatible with all growing media and integrates seamlessly with SHOGUN Samurai Coco A&B, SHOGUN Terra Grow/Bloom and the full SHOGUN additive range including SHOGUN Sumo Boost and SHOGUN Zenzyme. Always add PK Warrior to your reservoir after base nutrients and pH-correct last. Begin your flush programme in the final 7–10 days of flowering.
