Description

Shogun Start is a specialist propagation and early-growth nutrient concentrate designed to give cuttings, seedlings, and freshly transplanted plants the precise nutritional support they need during the most vulnerable phase of their development. Formulated to very low EC levels, it provides a complete but gently dosed mineral feed that avoids the root damage and osmotic stress that full-strength nutrients cause in young plant tissue with immature root systems.

The formulation is calibrated around the specific nutritional priorities of early-stage plants: immediately available nitrogen for initial leaf development, a bioavailable phosphorus dose to support root initiation, and a balanced trace element package to prevent the micronutrient deficiencies that commonly emerge in young plants growing in nutrient-depleted propagation media. The calcium-to-magnesium ratio in Shogun Start is set to prevent the early calcium deficiency that manifests as tip burn in fast-growing seedlings under high light intensity.

Using a Shogun product from day one of propagation ensures plants are conditioned to the buffering chemistry of the Shogun range, making the transition to Shogun Samurai Coco or Shogun Samurai Terra seamless. Use from cuttings through to the end of week one or two of vegetative growth, dosing at 1-4 ml per litre. Always check EC — young plants rarely need solution EC above 0.8 to 1.2 mS/cm.
